Natamycin eye drops  (Zonat Eye Drop)

Uses

Natamycin eye drops is used for the treatment of fungal blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids), conjunctivitis (inflammation of the conjunctiva of the eye), and keratitis (inflammation of the cornea of the eye) caused by susceptible organisms.

How it works

Natamycin belongs to a class of medicines called tetraene polyene antibiotic. Natamycin eye drops binds to the fungal cell wall, alters the permeability of the cell wall and causes depletion of the cellular contents; thereby reducing growth and proliferation of fungi.
