How it works
Eflora 13.9% cream is a hair growth inhibitor that works by inhibiting an enzyme located in the hair follicle (base of hair) that is involved in hair growth.
Before you take the drug
Do not take the drug if you:
• Are allergic to this active ingredient Eflornithineor any other ingredients of the medicine
• You have a normal skin
• You are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant
• You are a breast feeding women
Tell your doctor if you:
• Have diabetes
• Have a history of any skin reactions

How much to take the drug?
The dosage depends upon your age, weight, medical condition and your response to the treatment. Therefore, the correct dose will be decided by your doctor. Take the dose exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Never apply this drug in large quantity than it is prescribed by your doctor.
How to take the drug?
Eflora should be applied topically two times a day, at least 8 hours apart or as directed by your doctor. Wait for at least 5 minutes after hair removal before applying this medication. Wash and dry the affected area before applying the medication. Then apply a thin layer to the affected area and massage into the skin until it is absorbed. Do not mix Efloracream with other medications.
For how long to take it?
You should take the dose until you finish the prescribed dose. Do not stop or quit the dose even if you feel better. You should complete the prescribed dose.
In case of an overdose, call your doctor right away or get an emergency medical attention as soon as possible.
If you miss a dose of Eflora, then apply as soon as you remember it. Never take the missed dose if the time to take the next dose is almost up. Taking multiple doses at almost the same time can lead to an overdose which can be harmful.
Side effects of the drug
Itching, irritation of the skin, peeling of the skin, swelling, stinging, and burning are the common side effects of Eflora. If any of these effects continues for a long time, contact your doctor immediately.
Efloramay rarely cause serious side effects such asfever, skin thinning or discoloration, allergic reaction, severedizziness, trouble breathing, sore throat, cough, painful blisters, red bumps, loss of skin color, follicle irritation, and ingrown hairs.
Common drug interactions
You must let your doctor know about your past medical history also carry the the list of all medications which you may be using, especially other topical drugs such as cream or lotion. Do not apply two types of medications at one time without consulting your doctor, it may show drug interaction. Never start a new medication without a advice of your doctor.
